Deepak Sawhney is the Managing Director of Qualtran Power Solutions, focusing on
Strategy and Management Consulting and providing business management solutions to
clients for growth organically as well as through M&A’s. His expertise lies in building business strategies, identifying growth avenues, digital innovation, sales excellence, and executing strategy through the balanced scorecard approach.
Before embarking on Consulting services for various clients, Deepak has worked for
around 20 years in the Electrical Industry working for local as well as Global organizations in various capacities. He has an Electrical Engineering as well as an MBA degree. With a vast and varied experience ranging from manufacturing ,
project management , marketing , sales , strategy planning and general management , he has had an immensely successful track record in leading organizations to a fast paced profitable growth.
During his last assignment with Schneider Electric, he was heading the Strategy Planning & Market Development function responsible for preparing strategic business plans for the organization setting directions to achieve top-line as well as bottom-line goals. Was also a select member of the Group Prospective & OEM committees to formulate strategies on a global scale for Schneider Electric. He was a key team member involved in various acquisition and integration of the companies in the fields of low voltage switchgear as well as of companies in the Wiring devices business. Earlier as Head of Sales, he was acclaimed in the Organization for introduction of various measures aimed at improving commercial efficiency and as Head of Marketing was responsible for marketing activities of all the product lines in electrical distribution & industrial automation leading to a spiralling growth in turnover and market share. He also led start-up operations of new businesses, building business plans and market access strategy and their execution thru a specialized sales force.
He has a vast manufacturing experience through his prior assignment with the Control Group where he was heading the Air Circuit Breaker Division responsible for manufacturing of ACB's under license from Terasaki, Japan and was in charge of the technology transfer of Whipp & Bourne military specification acb's and subsequent development thru local manufacturing in India for a major contract with the Indian Navy.
